January 14 is a public Holiday to celebrate Eid-el Maulud
This is to commemorate this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration nationwide.
In the statement, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Mrs. Fatima Bamidele, on Thursday in Abuja, called on all Muslims and Nigerians in general to support President Goodluck Jonathan “in his sustained effort to build a peaceful, united and virile nation”.
The Ministry also urged all Nigerians to pray for peace, unity and growth of the nation.

Latest Regarding Univesity of Jos Internal Strike
The strike Embarked by Unijos Asuu Chapter is as a result of the failure of Management to follow a particular template given to them as to who and who should be paid with regard to earned Allowances, which the Management did not follow
A committee has been set up by the management with a view to solve the issue, they were giving 3 days and their resolution will determine the next line of action
The S.U.G led by Comr. Izang Magaji Ajik has told students to keep calm but be ready to fight back in case they are pushed to the wall by the lecturers and management, and has encouraged students to resume.
However, lectures have resumed in some part of the university including- Sociology,Political Science,Medicine, and History, also some part of faculty of law
The senator Representing Off Campus constituency Sen. Arome Abu has however told students to send the name of their Landlord/caretaker, his phone number and the Place of Residence to his phone number
All this is coming barely a month after Asuu National Chapter called off its 6 months old Strike

Pastor Drowns While Attempting To Walk On Water

Pastor Franck Kabele, 35, told his
congregation he could repeat the biblical miracle, and he attempted it from a beach
in Gabon’s capital of Libreville
He told churchgoers he’d had a revelation that
if he had enough faith, he could walk on water like Jesus,’ an eyewitness told
the Glasgow Daily Record.
‘He took his congregation to the beach saying he
would walk across the Komo estuary, which takes 20 minutes by boat.
So on the d-day they all gathered to watch the

Univeristy of Jos (Unijos) to go on Internal Strike
This is coming barely two weeks after the Federal Government
and Asuu ended the strike that lasted for 6 months, which had paralyzed academic
activities in Nigerian Universities Nationwide
We at YOB got the information and we were able to reach the
SUG President Comr. Ajik Magaji Izang, he said:
That yes the lecturers and management have issues relating
to ‘earned allowance’ ,and that management have refused to pay lecturers the
earned allowances as they were supposed to, and this has formed the crux of their internal
strike.
At the time of filing this, a meeting as already been called
for Monday 6th January 2014 between the SUG and various stake
holders and departments heads.
One then wonders whether students should resume, the
president said students should not be discouraged as they should resume while
the pending issues will be resolved as soon as possible, he also said students
should not keep quiet while lecturers are toiling with their future.
One of the students Comr. Kenny Ilori also said that enough is
enough and students should not sit back and allow lecturers destroy their
future
