Latest on Asuu Stike

At yesterday’s meeting a lot went down between the parties as to ending the ongoing impasse between the Federal Government and Asuu,

Asuu had earlier had a closed door meeting with the senate president David Mark where David Mark used the no victor no vanquish slogan, as the victory will be one for everyone

Dr Nasir Fagge on his part also expressed his feelings that they also as lecturers are students and students to, as some of them are postgraduate student and so are also feeling the brunt of the strike. After the meeting, they moved to the presidential villa were they were hosted by the president,

The president immediately made his statement that our children must return back to school, after which everyone said Amen, during the meeting both parties were reluctant to bulge as each was standing to their ground, consequent upon this the Federal Government led by the president gave certain requirements and also increased the earned allowances, at this time our sources say are within the range of 45-50bn,

Other issues were discussed. They went for a short break and reconvened and finished the meeting at 330is,

Asuu said they had to report to their members upon which they will get back to the Federal Government what their members say, what is then not sure is what the NEC members of Asuu will decide, thus we all await,

If the word of Asuu is to go by as to full implementation I don’t think an end is near, but if Asuu has changed their minds, then students should start arranging their clothes to come back.

However Asuu is to make a statement this week we will keep you posted immediately it is made as well as the outcome.
