NAMA subsequently issued a Notice To Airmen on Thursday morning, meaning that the airport had been closed to both incoming and outbound planes.

Thus, as a result of this action, thousands of passengers are stranded at different airports in the country, especially those who are Abuja-bound in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Kaduna, Kano and Abuja among others.

Asuu Distribute Food stuff to members

Asuu have began distributing materials and foodstuffs to its better to enable them continue with the ongoing strike

The chairman of the Ahmadu Bello University Asuu Branch, Dr. Mohammed Kabir-Aliyu, who confirmed the development to newsmen in Kaduna Wednesday, said the offer would help the protesting members to survive the hardship accompanied by the non-payment of salaries.

Kabir-Aliyu noted that lecturers in the university have not earned their salaries since the strike commenced in the last four months.

Rice, semovita, vegetable oil and cash, ranging from N20, 000 to N50, 000. were among the items distributed to memebers

He declared that they were not moved by the threats to sack them.

Federal Government shows Evidence of 200bn

  Dr Doyin Okupe has further reiterated the Federal Government resolve to ending the ongoing strike, in a chat with news men 

He said that the account, a “revitalization of Universities Infrastructural Account,” was authorized by the office of the Accountant General of the Federation on November 13. 

 “I state categorically that I have personally seen the balance in the account as of today and confirm that it contains the requisite amount and disbursement will commence as soon as ongoing administrative processes are sorted out,” Dr. Okupe said.

Therefore, hemeantioned that there was no need for the strike to go on a day longer

Greatest jossites, in view of the recent announcement made by the management through the registrar for resumption, all students are advised to stay calm as all information given were directed to our academic staffs, but for students ,we shall be well informed in due course. the registrar through a Text told me that there is no update for students yet. 

 I want to really want to appreciate jossites for How they've shown a sense of maturity through out the strike period.
