Manchester United Owner Dies At Age 85

Manchester United owner, Malcolm Glazer, has been announced dead at the age of 85.
The demise of the Florida-based millionaire, was announced on the Bucs’ website.
He was the man who led the controversial takeover of the Old Trafford club in 2005, plunging the club more than £500million in debt.
he has been reported to be ill for a while

'This is a rare honour to me because it came I was thinking that maybe I will lose the poll but I think I was lucky today. To be honest with you, when you see the best footballers in the world, it is quite tight and difficult to achieve something with the clubs. The case of Messi who has won the award four times in a row comes to mind because he has not done anything for his country but his performance at his club has been the reason why he won the awards. I think the best player in Africa has to be someone who is doing something great for his club in Europe and Africa and I am very proud and honoured to win it," added Toure.

Riberry French Player of the Year Award

Frank Ribbery has been choosen as the French player of the year

The France international needs to be named French Player of the Year twice more to equal record-holder Thierry Henry and he’s keen to emulate the former Arsenal star.

“I know that Henry has won the award five times and it’s a great honour to follow in his footsteps. Thierry is one of France’s all-time greats. He now knows that I’m gunning for his record,” Ribery commented.

Ribery is also one of the three remaining candidates to win the Fifa Ballon d’Or, with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the other two contenders.
